Question by nj: Now my garden koi pond is ready, can I mix my newly bought real koi fishes and ordinary shubunkin/comet type?
The ordinary ones are kept in my indoor tank and I plan to join them with the new kois for outside pond. I know they are both fast swimmers, but I have no idea if it will pose any problem if joined together.

They should be ok provided the pond is large enough and they are matched in size. If the Koi are substantially larger than the Goldfish already then you could have problems.

    They should be fine, however I would still keep an eye on them, other than that it will be well. Also give your pond a day or two to run through its settleing course. Then you should be fine.
