Question by RyanLeeDesign: How do I naturally clean a pond?
I have a pond with a fountain in my yard, and it gets that green algae growth in it. I don’t want to use chemicals because my dogs and cats drink out of the pond, which is fine with me, and my big lab will even take a dip now and then. Is there a way to get rid of the algae naturally, or, without hurting the animals? It is a real pain to drain and wash out, and the fountain does have a filter, but, it doesn’t do much for the water.

Thanks in advance!

You can introduce very small fish or amoeba that helps to control the algae, but you really don’t want to get rid of the algae. The algae actually help keep the pond healthy, just try to control it.
