Question by Sgrunner3: How do you get rid of pond scum?
There is a pond behind my house (naturally occuring I’m pretty sure) that has a bunch of algae growing on it, and I don’t know how to get rid of the algae.

What happen is that if the water is not flowing its becomes stagnet.

Two ways to fix;
You can either install a pump which produces airflow and circulation into the water and that will help dissolve the algae
OR
In some garden centres I have seen them sell Algae tablets, they slowly release a NON TOXIC chemical that dissolves the algae, they last for quite a while and do not harm marine life, we have them in Australia so they should be in other parts of the world, I hope this helps
